We were given a task to go out and record a video of the school. We decided to make our video focus on the environment of the school, e.g Litter, and insects.
in our movie we included lots of different shots, Including a pan shot, to open the video, which was sped up, so that it would be less tedious for the audience to watch. We used a pan shot so that the audience could see where the video was being filmed.
After the 360 degree pan, we used a close up on a lady bird, this was so that the audience could see what out film was roughly about. The close up then changed to a two shot, focussing on the leaves on the bench.
For a transition, we used a film strip, because this look ed professional, and smooth.
After the transition between the shots, we focused on the litter on the ground, We did this by using an extreme closeup, then panning around to focus on more litter that wasn't already in the shot. We decided to add little tags that said "litter is bad, so don't drop it", this was just to get a message across to the audience.
After this, we used a pan up, and pan down shot of a tree, we then copied these two shots, and sped them up, so that the tree had a longer time on screen.
After the tree shot, we used a pan shot to show the setting of the text, which we sped up, so that it wasn't too long a shot. After this shot, we went straight into an over the shoulder shot, which was of two people talking.
We finished the video with a handheld shot, so it looked less formal, and fitted the collage environment better.
Throughout the whole video, we used a colour fade filter, so that the video looked less formal, and softer.
I think our video was successful, because we used a variety of shots, and angles, to make the video look more professional. We used a few effects too, without making the video look tacky.
